There are several ways that you could provide support to the orphans:

• Volunteer to work short term at the orphanage
• Donate money funds, gifts
• Be a long-term sponsor for a child

VOLUNTEERING:

We welcome all volunteers to come and help at the orphanage. However, volunteers should consider the following:

1- you are to pay all your travelling and other living expenses.

2-you may choose to do whatever work you find fit. Even though preferred experiences include English/Maths/Science...teaching and childcare experience, these are not often required. There have been many great volunteers, who only come and spend time with the children on weekends. A sense of humour, fun and creative activities are great elements to bring happiness to the orphans. Remember, you do not need to be able to speak Vietnamese nor English to communicate with the children because body-language is universal :-)

Volunteers are encouraged to share their orphanage-visiting experiences, photos and guidance for future volunteers. So don't forget your camera!

Important Notes:

Other than paying for your own accommodation, travelling and general expenses, the DieuGiac Orphanage does not ask volunteers to contribute to any money fund or pay any fee for your time at the orphanage. There are people/organizations who use our name to ask for money from volunteers for personal profit. Please be aware!
